Quit smoking and Get Rid of Smoke Addiction

Smoking is like an addictive disease and it is difficult to quit smoking. However if one is conscious about his or her own well being, the well being of the family, and the society as a whole, then one should seriously consider about how to quit smoking and get rid of smoke addiction.

It is well known that smoking is like an addiction and it is difficult to quit smoking. However if one considers the well being of self, family and friends, and the society as a whole, he or she will take it up quite seriously. Addiction is usually chronic and runs for long duration. It is usually a disease where the addict becomes dependant on the substance and naturally a smoking addict will be addicted to something like cigarettes or cheroots or any other form of smoking. Even drug addicts have the habit of smoking habits or marijuana.

Addiction however results in the deterioration of physical as well as psychological health of the addict. Psychologically the behavioral pattern of the individual establishes how the substance causing addiction is used. One of them is the compulsive behavior like irresistible urge for the substance. Compulsive addicts ensure the availability of the substance to which they are addicted. On the other hand the habitual addict will use the substances regularly or occasionally depending on their desires. Both however become dependent on the drug that results in withdrawal symptoms when the drug is discontinued, when the addict quit smoking.

Why people become addicted to cigarettes? The reason is that cigarette contains nicotine. As soon as the addict inhales the cigarette, nicotine starts working and the body starts responding to its effects. In result the individual will feel relaxed, calmer, as well as happier than before such inhalation. Usually this pleasant feeling is the physical side of the addiction. On the other hand not smoking may cause various symptoms like irritability, impatience, anxiety as well as other unpleasant symptoms. In fact these are the withdrawal system, one of the major problems in drug or smoke addiction treatments and making the addict quit smoking.

How do you know that someone is cigarette addicted? Several signs could be identification marks for cigarette addiction. For instance; smoking over seven cigarettes a day, frequent deep breathing, smoking nicotine levels over 0.9 mg, and smoking within half an hour of rising up in the morning are some of the major symptoms of cigarette addiction. Other symptoms are finding it difficult eliminating the first cigarette in the morning, frequent smoking during morning, even finding difficult in smoking in restricted areas, and even sickness not preventing smoking habits.

Difficulty in getting rid of the habit or to quit smoking is that whenever one tries to do it they find withdrawal symptoms coming their way. Sudden impulses, shivering and thrilling of the body, migraine, and various other types of symptoms start showing when one tries to eliminate the smoking habits.

Yet it is necessary to quit smoking for the benefit of all and good news is that it is not impossible to achieve this feat.
